Sources close to the family told TMZ doctors told Bobby Brown there's nothing more they can do for Bobbi Kristina Houston and it is time to remove life support.
Though the decision is now in Brown's hands, he refused to make the painful choice, and wants to wait until after the weekend. Brown is hopeful his daughter will beat the odds as someone in his extended family battled out of a coma after eight days, the report said.
Just like her mother three years ago, Bobbi Kristina was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in suburban Atlanta while as the music industry prepared for the Grammy Awards. Her husband Nick Gordon was at the scene and tried to revive her while a friend called 911. She has been in a medically-induced coma since Saturday.
Houston was moved to Emory University Hospital Tuesday because the facility has a world class neurological department, but it appears doctors are determined that there is no hope. "Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family," a Houston family statement said Monday. "We are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support."
Whitney Houston died on Feb. 11, 2012. She was found unconscious in Suite 434 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, submerged in the bathtub; and she was later pronounced dead. The death was later ruled an "accidental drowning" by the coroner.
