River HongBao 2015 will be held on Tuesday at Marina Bay, an iconic site in Singapore, to celebrate the Spring Festival and Singapore's 50 years of independence.

River HongBao 2015 will welcome the Year of Goat with celebrations over 12 days from Tuesday to Feb. 28, which are organized by Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Singapore Tourism Board and People's Association.

Shows by troupes from China's Xinjiang and Taiwan highlight this year's celebration.

The term HongBao, meaning a red packet, is a monetary gift often associated with the Lunar New Year and symbolizes good luck.

Since 1986, River HongBao has been an annual Lunar New Year event which preserves and revives Chinese culture and traditions. Nowadays, the event has been a compelling destination for tourists who arrive in Singapore during the Spring Festival.
