The celebrity couple registered their marriage on March 26 in Beijing, Lu said on Sina Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter, on Saturday.

The 44-year-old from west China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region graduated from the People's Liberation Army International Relations University in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, and then spent two years in the army before studying directing at the Beijing Film Academy.

Hu, 32, from northwestern Shaanxi Province, started working for CCTV in 2008 and and now anchors a morning news program.
