Alan Taylor, the director of Thor has described the experience of working with Marvel on the 2013 sequel as painful.

The director speaking to the site Uproxx said the experience was wrenching because he was given complete freedom in the shooting process however when it came to post production, it became a different movie.

He went on further to say he hoped he never had to repeat the experience.

Taylor has since gone on to direct Terminator Genisys starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and he said the process was completely different.

Marvel is currently working on a sequel to Thor: The Dark World with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston confirmed to be reprising their roles. Marvel's Kevin Feige says he will make an announcement regarding the film's director later this summer.
