Actor Yu Entai and actress Ni Hongjie, both of whom have became more widely known for the martial arts comedy My Own Swordsman or Wu Lin Wai Zhuan (武林外传) has recently reunited in a comedy film.

Zhou Wei is director of the film An Accidental Shot of Love or Ca Qiang Zou Huo in Chinese. (擦枪走火)

"I think few Chinese actors are good at performing in a comedy. This film marks my third collaboration with Yu Entai. Yu Entai has a professionally unique way to act in a comedy film. He usually acts as a person in inferior social status but lovely and well-educated. In real life, he is indeed a PhD holder, an actor who has the highest level of education in China."

The film rounds about a young boy faced with a difficult choice standing between his ex girlfriend who unexpectedly got pregnant when they broke up and his present lover.

Director Zhou Wei explains this story plot is where the film got its name.

"An Accidental Shot of Love carries another meaning: unintended pregnancy. What makes the film a comedy-of-errors is when Yu began to worry about his ex girlfriend and hesitated to make a decision on an abortion or allowing a birth of that baby. This also sparks a conflict accidentally with his present lover. But, his final decision also indicates a basic principle that my movie is hoping to convey."

The movie will be released on Sept. 11.
