Season four of the popular TV hit "The Voice of China" will debut on Zhejiang Satellite Television on Friday night with pop megastar Jay Chou as the new coach. In the next five weeks, the show will feature 50 candidates on the stage for a blind audition process. According to the QQ.com, more than half of them are Chinese living abroad.

There will also be a special set for this season, with a giant white curtain. The curtain will block the coaches' vision even after they turn around the chair to try to look at the performers. This curtain will be used as the TV show crew judge whether the candidate has something special, to build suspense.

This year's "The Voice of China" will also have two affiliated TV shows and three online shows, which makes it the program with the most affiliated shows in history.

The coaches for season four are Jay Chou, Wang Feng, Na Ying and Harlem Yu. Chou, who has sold over 30 million albums and received numerous awards in his career, will be the highlight for this season as fans are waiting to see how he interacts with the performers.

The last season of "The Voice of China" was won by Zhang Bichen from Tianjin who sang "Where Has Time Gone" in the final.

The series is part of the The Voice franchise and is based on the Dutch program The Voice of Holland.
