British singer Ed Sheeran has topped Spotify's list of the top 25 most influential artists under the age of 25.

The 24-year-old singer also has Spotify's most streamed song ever in 2014 with his ballad-"Thinking out Loud," streamed 450 million times.

In the list released by the music streaming service, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Miley Cyrus and One Direction rounded out the top five young artists.

The list is based on total streams, No. 1 hits, volume and growth of streams over the past year and Spotify's viral chart.

Taylor Swift was not on the list as she decided to remove her hits from the streaming service in last November, arguing artists were not being fairly rewarded for their music.
