Fantasy animated film 'The Little Prince' has announced an all-star cast that will dub its Chinese version.

Famous Chinese artists, including the Golden Horse award-winning actor Huang Bo and actress Zhou Xun are on the star list for the upcoming film.

The film, directed by Kung Fu Panda's co-director Mark Osbourne, is based on the renowned French novel with the same name.

However, it is not a direct adaptation.

It has taken in elements from the novel, and interwoven them with an original narrative featuring a young girl who is dealing with her pushy mother that imposes an over-loaded study plan on her.

Over sixty editions of the 1943 novel have been published in China since 1981.

'The Little Prince' made its world premiere on May 22nd at the Cannes Film Festival, and it is planned to drop in the Chinese market this fall.
