Soap star-turned-TV personality Kelly Ripa received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday. The honor coincides with her 15th year as host on "Live with Kelly and Michael."
The live host thanked her co-stars and mentors over the years for guiding her career.
"You have to surround yourself with people who are better than you and that's what I've managed to do in my career. I joined this incredible acting community at 'All My Children' and it was a brilliant ensemble cast. And then I got to sit next to Regis Philbin, who taught me how to be a storyteller. And then I got to work with Faith Ford and Ted McGinley, who taught me how to be funny and taught me about comic timing."
Earlier this year, the talk show host and television producer has won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
According to Daily News, Kelly Ripa received the 2,561st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, honoring a career that has brought her four Emmys as well as 20 Daytime Emmy nominations and for her work as an actress and host.
