The enduring legacy of ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BC) was told through dance in Skopje on Monday in Macedonian National Theater.

The large-scale original dance drama by China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater, "Confucius" has seen soaring popularity since its Beijing debut in 2013.

On the same day, during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Macedonia Wen Zhenshun, Macedonian Minister of Culture Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska on Monday noted the excellent relations between Macedonia and China in the cultural field, with increasing exchanges of artists and performers from both countries.

Ambassador Wen Zhenshun on his part, while evaluating the achievements made in bilateral cultural ties, said Confucius is a well-known theme in Macedonia, noting that the Confucius Institute in Skopje has been active in Macedonia since 2013 to promote cultural exchanges.
