Upcoming American animated comedy "The Secret Life of Pets” released a new Chinese version trailer on Friday.

The trailer, with Chinese subtitles, shows the funny things pets get up to after their masters leave home for work or school each day.

Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, this 3D animation depicts the battle between happily-owned animals and a group of abandoned pets.

"The Secret Life of Pets” features the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Steve Coogan and James Wood.

It marks the fifth fully-animated feature-film collaboration between Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, which is famous for the production of the "Despicable Me” franchise.

"The Secret Life of Pets” is scheduled to hit the big screens in North America on July 8 next year.
