The Highly-anticipated domestic 3D animation 'Little Door Gods' premiered in Beijing on Saturday.
Director Wang Wei teamed up with producer Yu Zhou, and voice cast Bai Ke and Ji Guanlin, making their appearance at the premier.
Inspired by Chinese folklore, the film tells the story of two guardian spirits who return to the human world to stir up trouble and bring modern non-believers back to the old ways.
This animated film marks a transition for Wang Wei, from the founder of China's leading video website Tudou.com to a director behind the scenes.
By founding Light Chaser Animation Studios, which produced 'Little Door Gods', Wang Wei hopes his company can be China's answer to Pixar — a boutique studio "creating world-class animated films with a Chinese cultural touch."
'Little Door Gods' took 29 months to complete production.
It will open to the public in China on New Year's Day.
