The third installment in the "Panda" series finds Po, voiced by Jack Black, reuniting with his birth father, voiced by Bryan Cranston, and falling for the sassy Mei Mei, voiced by Kate Hudson.

Jack Black brought his son to walk the red carpet and Kate Hudson was also joined by her boys.

Black jokes about his co-worker during the event.

"We pulled off a major coup because we got Bryan Cranston playing my father and he's basically the best actor in the world right now. I don't know if you saw 'Breaking Bad?' We got J.K. Simmons, who plays the villain, and if you saw 'Whiplash' you know he's basically the second- or they're jostling. You got Kate what's her name ... Kate Branson, Kate Bradley, Kate Babonovich, I can't remember her name. She's fantastic! She's one of the Kates!"

Angelina Jolie-Pitt also appeared on the carpet, though her kids didn't show up with her, but they did lend their voices for quick cameos.

Jackie Chan, James Hong and J.K. Simmons also star in "Kung Fu Panda 3."

The movie will open in China and U.S. theaters on the 29th this month.
