20th Century Fox signed an exclusive output deal with China's leading online video portal iQiyi.

Under the agreement, iQiyi has been granted the first-run subscription-streaming and transactional VOD rights in China for the studio's major releases.

This means iQiyi will be the first online platform in the country for 20th Century Fox's movies, like 'The Martian', 'Snoopy and Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movies', and 'The Revenant'.

Also, the portal's customers can enjoy access to upcoming major theatrical releases from FOX.

Being an independent subsidiary of search giant Baidu, iQiyi is among the top online video services in China.

Last year, it had reached 10 million paying subscribers.

The company also reached exciting deals with NBC Universal and Paramount for certain streaming rights.

Meanwhile, iQIYI is currently striving to produce original Chinese language content in larger volumes.
