Zayn Malik's solo single-"Pillowtalk" has risen straight to the top of the real-time Billboard and Twitter Trending 140 chart.

Malik's first single since leaving boyband One Direction, rocketed to No. 1 in the survey on Friday, becoming Twitter's most shared and discussed track for several hours after its commercial release with an accompanying music video.
The kaleidoscopic clip co-stars Malik's girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid.
The Trending 140 chart measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music.
"Pillowtalk" also gives a preview of Malik's first solo album, "Mind of Mine".
The album is due out on March 25 -- exactly a year after One Direction announced Malik's departure via Facebook.
