'Cold War 2' releases first trailer

"Cold War 2"-the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2012 police thriller "Cold War" has released its first trailer.

The action packed clip shows a police officer trying to bring a prisoner to justice being blackmailed to release the culprit.

Trouble comes as other members of the police department support the prisoner's release.

Original cast members, Aaron Kwok, Tony Leung, Charlie Young and Eddie Peng return to reprise their roles.

And superstar Chow Yun Fat also joins the sequel, starring as a senior lawyer.

"Cold War" was a big hit when it was released in four years ago, and collected over 250 million yuan in ticket sales.

"Cold War 2" is due to be released later this year, in July.
