Stars of the highly-anticipated superhero movie "Batman v Superman: the Dawn of Justice" as well as other Hollywood big names have gathered in New York, attending the world premiere of the film.
Ben Affleck, who is playing the new Batman, admits he's got some big shoes to fill in the role.
"These movies as you can see have huge fans everywhere all over the place. It's amazing how these characters have appealed to people over - since the 1930s or whenever they created. The responsibility is to the fans, to the global audience."
Henry Cavill is reprising his role as Superman following the 2013 release of the first Superman reboot "Man of Steel."
Cavill admits says he did not offer any advice to Affleck, or Jesse Eisenberg whose casting of Lex Luthor also met with some controversy.
"You don't need to give actors of that caliber quality advice. You just let them do their thing. I think they could probably give me advice on how to perform better."
The premiere in New York also drew out actor Will Smith, who will be seen later this year in the super villain ensemble picture Suicide Squad and Chinese singer-actor Li Yifeng, the film's Chinese Spectator Ambassador.
The action superhero movie opens in US and Chinese theaters simultaneously this Friday.
