China pop's new favorite Xu Jiaying has released her cover of a Chinese pop classic, Xiao Sa Zou Yi Hui, or "Walk gracefully once". Her cover will become the theme song for the upcoming film "New York New York".

In just a few days, the music video of her cover received five million daily views. Related posts on Weibo gained 20 million reads, triggering tons of comments even before the premiere of the movie.

Xu Jiaying rose to fame in the Chinese music reality show "I am a Singer". She later gained many fans with her music talent and engaging personality.

The new song is a cover of a 90's pop classic, originally sung by Hong Kong singer Sally Yeh.

The cover was chosen as the theme song for the film because the lyric fits well with the film's plot.

The film tells the story of young people pursuing their dreams in New York, and is due for release in April.
