The pre-marriage family drama has ended as Chinese singer Jane Zhang's mother attended her daughter's birthday party in Chengdu on Wednesday after blasting her future son-in-law only three days ago.

Mother, Zhang Guiying, was happily posing for photos with Jane and her fiance Michael Feng, CEO of Show City Times, at a party held in a live house in Chengdu where Jane sang five songs for her fans and guests to celebrate her 32nd birthday.

The mother published an open letter on Sunday, claiming her future son-in-law cheated her daughter for personal and financial gain. She also filed a lawsuit in September against her future son-in law accusing him of harming the interests of a shareholder by shifting her and her daughter's shares in Show City Times.

Jane and Feng then released a statement addressing the mother's concern saying that there had been a misunderstanding.

Jane pleaded with the tabloid media, fans, ex-employees and interested individuals not to exploit and intervene in the family crisis. However, online forums and other sources still managed to ascertain possible evidence purporting to show Feng having an affair with another girl outside his relationship with Jane. Moreover, allegations of domestic violence towards Jane also surfaced. Later Jane's mother confirmed the news via a telephone interview with a tabloid reporter.

This was a misconception and speculation from her mother and outsiders; her mother's telephone recording was edited by the tabloid, Jane explained. She told reporters who swarmed her birthday party that she had been communicating with her mother, who now promises she will bless the marriage and the wedding will go on as scheduled in November.

"The person I love most in my life is my mother," Jane exclaimed at her birthday party, but she added she will have her own life. She denied any third party in her relationship with Feng and said the girl in the rumor is actually one of her friends.

Michael Feng, the "villain" in this drama, promised he would put all his assets under Jane's name to dispel any future doubts. The mother said she would also withdraw the lawsuit against Feng and keep an eye on him.

"Dust My Shoulders Off," is Jane's first single from her new English album. A collaboration with American producer Timbaland, it was released on her birthday. Feng said the company has invested US$4 million to make the album and it's time to come back to music.

"I will only focus on promoting this top-class album and ignore the tabloid headlines," he said, denying the controversy was to cause hype for the new album. "We don't do hype like this. Everything we have experienced during the past days is real, though dramatic."
