Vivian Wu promotes new comedy film 'Father and Son'

Domestic comedy film 'Father and Son', which stars famous Chinese actress, Vivian Wu Junmei, has completed filming.
Speaking at the press conference, the 50-year-old actress offers more details on the three-month long shooting, which took place in Macao, Beijing and Dali.
"I'm a big fan of 'A Hero or Not', or 'Jian Bing Xia' in Chinese. When I first read this script, I thought the movie followed the style of A Hero or Not, which amused me a lot and I couldn't help laughing loudly from time to time, and normally I rarely laugh in that way."
Renowned comedians Fan Wei and Dong Chengpeng portray the titular roles in this film, which features a father and his son rolled into a debt crisis and then encountered numerous hardships.
As the father helps the son in solving the thorny problem, their misunderstanding towards each other is gradually resolved.
Vivian Wu takes the role as father Fan Yingxiong's wife, while a young actress Zhang Tian'ai portrays another female lead role as the wife for son Fan Xiaobing.
Zhang Tianai shares her motive in joining this film.
"When I first read the script, I think Vivian Wu is the most suitable option for the character because she is a woman of great charisma and strength. Her participation in this film project is out of her own choice, but I was allured into it by Fan Wei."
After rising to fame with his directorial debut of 'A Hero or Not', actor-director Dong Chengpeng's new work 'Father and Son' is set to hit big screens next July.
