The hero is responsible for protecting a group of scientists under threat due to the creation of a drug that can extend one's life.

In performing a fight scene, the 42-year-old actor said he hurt his nose.

"In that scene, my nose was broken after colliding with Li Haitao's head, and I fell unconscious. I was afraid then if I had been hospitalized, I couldn't have acted in this film any longer. Fortunately, my co-star Li Haitao brought me a bag of ice and then successfully straightened my nose. The next day I was able to continue to shoot."

'Sky on Fire' has an all-star cast, which also includes actresses Zhang Jingchu and Amber Kuo, and Taiwan actor Joseph Chang.

The action thriller is the latest installment of Ringo Lam's 'On Fire' franchise, as a follow-up to 'City on Fire,' 'Prison on Fire' and 'School on Fire' which all came out in the late 80s.

The film is set for release on November 25.
