Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse will cook up a delicious comedy about Chinese food during Chinese Spring Festival.
Tse may have gotten inspiration from his Chinese food travelogue show "Chef Nic," but "Cook up a Storm" has a completely separate storyline to make it a real feature film about a duel between two chefs rather than a food documentary or TV show.
The film, starring Ge You, Nicholas Tse, Tang Yan and South Korean actor Jung Yong-hwa, is directed by Raymond Yip ("The House That Never Dies," "Lost on Journey"). It was written and produced by Manfred Wong.
"Cook up a Storm" is set to release on Spring Festival, which falls on Jan. 28, and opens the year’s busiest film season.
