UAE sets Guinness record with thousands posing

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set a new Guinness record with thousands of students posing as "human boat, " local daily Gulf news reported on Tuesday.

A total of 4,882 students in the city of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Tuesday entered the Guinness Book of World Records by forming the largest image composed by humans which looks from the bird's eye perspective like a boat in the colors of the Gulf Arab state, local daily Gulf news reported.

The students from the India International School of the Pace Education Group participated in the event.

They were wearing the colours of the UAE National flag which are black, read, green and white in a sports complex in the city of Sharjah, northeast of Dubai.

All 4,882 students from grade one to grade eight who participated in the attempt will receive a certificate from the Guinness World Records, said the report.

The Gulf state UAE regularly delivers world records. The UAE host not only the world's tallest mixed-use tower, the 829 meters vertical Burj Khalifa, but also the world's tallest hotel, the 72-storey, 355 meters tall J. W. Marriott Marquis

The UAE is also home of the only museum which bears the name Louvre outside France, located in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
