1. "Advancing in Torrents": a Yellow River-themed art collection
Collecting more than 100 artworks, the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) will for the first time hold a collective exhibition themed on the Yellow River. It aims to tell how the Yellow River has become a symbol of the Chinese nation, reflecting the great power it brings to the country.

2. Dance-poem drama: "Thousands Miles of Mountains and Rivers"
The China Oriental Performing Arts Group's "Thousands Miles of Mountains and Rivers" is a "poetic drama" that comprises a number of unfolding scrolls to present a magical sense of Chinese traditional aesthetic beauty.
Dates: Aug. 20-22
Venue: National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing
3. Stage play: "Flowers"
The first season of drama "Flowers" looks to present the life of ordinary Shanghai locals set against the backdrop of an era of huge transformation. The play, which won the "2019 One Drama Awards of the Year" and the "Best Writing of the Year," concludes this month but will welcome its second season at the end of this year.
