Produced by the Beijing People's Art Theater, a modern adaptation of "Sunrise," the classic drama written by famous Chinese playwright Cao Yu, will premiere at the recently built Beijing International Theater Center.

"Sunrise" exposes the darkness and despair of an era through the story of social butterfly Chen Bailu, striking a stark contrast between the corruption and luxury of the rich and the suffering of the poor in the 1930s.

Dates: Sept. 2 - 9

Venue: Beijing International Theater Center, Beijing
