Editor's note: A special exhibition on Qianlong Emperor's beloved noble consort, a live concert themed on an Emmy Award-winning television series, and an auction preview presenting several masterpieces – these are the events you won't want to miss this week. 

1. Special Exhibition: 'Artistic World of Emperor Qianlong II - Western-Style Court Art During the Heyday of the Qing Dynasty'

Centering around Italian painter Giuseppe Castiglione's (Chinese name Lang Shining) "Oil Painting of Imperial Noble Consort Chunhui," this exhibition features more than a dozen artistic categories, including court paintings, Western clocks and watches, porcelain, copper enamelware, copperware, guqin instruments, furniture, lacquerware, glassware, and embroidered clothes and accessories. The more than 100 exhibits fully demonstrate the superb achievements of court art during the Qianlong period as well as showcase the cultural exchanges between China and Europe during the 18th century.

2. 'Game of Thrones' Live Concert

China's huge fanbase of the Emmy Award-winning television series "Game of Thrones" finally get to experience the music from the TV series live on stage. "Game of Thrones" is an American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for Home Box Office (HBO).

3. China Guardian Autumn Auctions 2021, Shanghai Preview

China Guardian Auctions will launch its first "Impressionist and Modern Art Night Auction," including rarely-seen classical artworks from masters Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, and Camille Pissarro, which can be seen at the Shanghai preview.
