Editor's note: A solo exhibition by a celebrated Chinese painter, an Irish film festival as well as an original Chinese musical – here are three events you won't want to miss this week.
1, Exhibition by painter Chen Shuren
Well-known Chinese painter Chen Shuren was one of the three founders of the Lingnan School of Painting in the early 20th century in south China.
The artworks on display in the exhibition, donated by Chen's wife in 1961, present an overview of the artist's painting style during the last 30 years of his career.

2, Irish film screening
Six Irish films - "Brooklyn," "Sing Street," "Rosie," "Zoo," "The Secret Scripture" and "The Lobster" – are being shown at the China National Film Museum from Dec. 4 as part of its International Film Screening Series: Films of Ireland. Audiences can experience the special flavor and charm of Irish cinema.

3, Original musical 'No Longer Human'
Portraying himself as a failure, the protagonist of Japanese novelist Osamu Dazai's "No Longer Human" narrates a seemingly normal life even while he feels himself incapable of understanding human beings.
The musical is jointly led by Chinese singer-actor Bai Jugang and singer-actor-director Liam Liu (Liu Lingfei). In addition, Grammy award-nominated composer Frank Wildhorn, who composed an original Chinese musical for the first time, is another highlight of the production.
