Editor's note: A joint concert to embrace the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, an art exhibition by graduate students, as well as a world-renowned musical featuring Sherlock Holmes—here are three events you won't want to miss this week.

1, 'Glows from Within'- joint concert by NCPA and CCOM

Jointly produced by China NCPA (National Center for the Performing Arts) Orchestra and CCOM (Central Conservatory of Music), this performance celebrates the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. It features famous conductor Lyv Jia and violinist Lyv Siqing and includes five parts: "Festival," "Snow and Ice," "Beijing," "Hero," and "Love."

Dates: Jan. 7-8 

Venue: National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing 

2, The second National College Student Art Exhibition

Over 300 outstanding artworks by graduate students from professional art colleges and comprehensive universities will be on display, reflecting the new era's enterprising, innovative, and energetic spirit of college students.

Dates: Jan. 7-16 

Venue: National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), Beijing

3, 'Sherlock Holmes: Secret of Anderson Family'

The musical "Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Anderson Family" is inspired by the legendary private detective Sherlock Holmes created by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Since its premiere in 2011, the musical has won great success thanks to its innovative form and theme that differentiate it from other musicals.

Dates: Jan. 6-13 

Venue: Cloud Peak Theatre, Shanghai
