PetroChina plans to raise output

PetroChina Co, the country's largest oil company, aims to more than double oil and gas production at the fourth-biggest Chinese field by 2020 to meet domestic demand.

The Tarim area in the Xinjiang Uyger Autonomous Region may produce 50 million tons of oil equivalent in 12 years, against more than 20 million tons last year, Zhou Xinyuan, head of the field, said in a statement on the Website of parent China National Petroleum Corp.
