China released a work report by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which vows to focus more on preventing corruption, on October 26, 2007.

The report said China will continue its efforts to build a clean government and to fight corruption. It also aims to curb corruption by both prevention and penalty.

The report, which is 12,000 Chinese characters long, was submitted to the 17th CPC National Congress and approved by the congress on October 21.

The report summed up anti-corruption experience in the past five years and made suggestions for anti-corruption activities over the next five years.
