The Seventh Plenary Session of the 15th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held from November 3 to 5 in Beijing.

The plenum discussed and approved a report to be presented by the 15th CPC Central Committee to the 16th Party Congress, as well as an amendment to the Constitution of the Communist Party of China.

A total of 186 members and 139 alternate members of the CPC Central Committee attended the three-day plenum, with members of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and leading officials of relevant departments attending as non-voting members.

The plenum was presided over by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. Jiang Zemin, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered an important speech.
