CPC National Congress to last 7 days

Cai Mingzhao, the spokesman for the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met the press on Nov. 7, 2012.

The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), slated for Nov. 8, will last seven days till Nov. 14, according to Cai Mingzhao, the spokesman for the congress.

The twice-a-decade event will open at 9:00 AM on Thursday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, said Cai at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

China.org.cn will give live coverage of the opening ceremony of the CPC congress.
