@997807760: In the past decade, China has actively extended aid to other countries and in doing so fulfilled its commitments regarding foreign aid under the principles of equality and mutual benefits with no political strings attached. China has cancelled approximately 30 billion yuan in debt of 50 heavily indebted poor and less developed countries. China has also extended the zero-tariff treatment to 97 percent of the export products from the least developed countries. – We are doing everything to be friend of other countries in an effort to liberate all of mankind. (Xinhua Weibo)

@anxingonganju: All eyes are on China's 18th Party congress and the country's progress and achievements. They are concerned with China's power, voice, development path and its fate. The Chinese economy has made it through the worst of financial times; China and Japan are still entangled in a dispute over the Diaoyu Islands; Chinese writer Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature…All these have become hot topics around the world. China, as a major developing country, has drawn global attention. (Xinhua Weibo)

@lyl1319987931: The following are my suggestions to the 18th Party congress. 1. Protect territorial integrity. 2. Set up a partnership with the U.S., Russia and the EU. 3. Turn China into a country that is fully open to the world, reduce export and boost consumption. 4. Fight corruption. (TencentWeibo)

@HH69117wx: There are quite a few new proposals in the foreign policy section of the 18th Party congress political report. The report clearly stated that China is against the subversion of state power, which is apparently a reference to the new interventionism of the U.S. and other western countries. (TencentWeibo)

@huanxiangshoushen: The 18th Party congress has opened. I'm a little bit disappointed that the government didn't include improving supervision and adopting a slightly tougher foreign policy in the political report as I was initially expecting. All domestic issues in China are caused by ineffective supervision, while all diplomatic issues are the results of the policy of appeasement. China will not be able to tackle these problems until it addresses the two points a mentioned above.(TencentWeibo)

@hnhzsjc: The 18th Party congress opens today. I was delighted to see Premier Wen's gesture towards Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda at the Asia-EU summit. I hope the government can adopt a tougher foreign policy instead of merely condemning everything. The government should have the boldness and determination of Chairman Mao Zedong, so that the Japanese won't bully us and the current tension in the South China Sea will be eased. (TencentWeibo)

@k1009b: What hit me most in watching the political report by Hu at the Parth congress, is that we openly announce to the world our policy on national defense, the creation of military power and the policies on foreign affairs. This in itself shows China's power and determination, as well as its position on foreign affairs. (TencentWeibo)

@HZSHJQY7777777: I expect the 18th Party congress to come up with a foreign policy that is flexible, yet not weak. In this way, China can deal with territorial conflicts in an appropriate manner and create a safe and harmonious environment for further development. I expect the congress to fully implement its anti-corruption measures. What China lacks is not legislation, mechanisms, supervision, or policies. We lack that all-encompassing fear of the law, of a comprehensive mechanism, of effective supervision and of fully-implemented policies. (TencentWeibo)

@Caoyongyao2011: In Hu's political report at the opening of the Party congress, he said China pursues a national defense policy that is defensive in nature and adopts a peaceful foreign policy of common development. Well, it seems there will be more negotiations on the Diaoyu Island issue to come then. (TencentWeibo)

@yanzhaorong0627: I hope our country can rise to new heights and never take a weak position again in issues regarding foreign affairs and territorial sovereignty. (TencentWeibo)
