As the Communist Party of China (CPC) is holding its 18th national congress in Beijing, many foreign politicians have sent congratulations to the CPC and expressed their belief that China will continue to prosper and advance under the leadership of the CPC.

In an interview with Xinhua, Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga wished the CPC and the Chinese people all the best as they embark on this critical phase in their history.

China has become a major player on the African continent and a major partner to Kenya in the field of infrastructure and trade, he said.

Odinga hoped that the 18th CPC national congress will come up with recommendations which will help intensify cooperation between Africa and China.

In a separate interview with Xinhua, chairman of the United Communist Party of Nepal, Puspa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), said the CPC is one of the largest and very important parties all over the world.

Under the CPC's leadership, China has created positive atmosphere for economic development not only in the economic sector but also all spheres of life, he said.

Besides, China has become a major international player and international power which means a lot for those who really want peace, stability and prosperity of mankind, he said.

"I think that this 18th congress will also continue the legacy of the Chinese Communist Party to move forward to build socialism of Chinese characteristics."

Prachanda believed that the theory of scientific outlook on development put forward by the CPC is scientific and correct.

The theory should be put into practice when important and encouraging economic progress is going on, he said.

As China has a great role to play for the peace, prosperity and stability all over the world, he wished the new CPC leadership would lead the CPC and the Chinese people to new success, so as to contribute more to the prosperity of human beings.

Danish Foreign Minister Villy Soevndal told Xinhua that China is a key country for global growth and a key player in solving global issues.

Soevndal took special note of Hu's call at the congress for a balanced growth model and unleashing "the potential of individual consumption."

He said he is confident that China will continue to prosper and advance.
