Another body was retrieved Monday from debris of Saturday's railway tunnel collapse in south China, bringing the death toll to five, the project contractor said.

Rescuers found the body of one of the two missing workers at about 4 a.m., according to the China Railway Tunnel Group, which was building the Baiyun tunnel of the Guangzhou-Nanning high-speed railway in Guangdong Province.

A company official said 10 employees were working when part of the tunnel caved in at 8 a.m. Saturday in Qiling Village, Yun'an County.

Four workers were injured and one had been discharged from hospital. The conditions of the other three were not believed to be life-threatening, said the official.

About nine rescuers were still searching for the last missing worker.

Officials from the local public security bureau and the work safety supervision bureau are investigating the cause of the accident.
