The CIAE is continuing to explore the development and utilization of nuclear energy. The China Experimental Fast Reactor (CEFR), which went critical in July, bears great significance to China's utilization of uranium resources and development of nuclear power, Zhao said.

Moreover, the CIAE is making progress in nuclear applications in industries such as isotope production and technologies of accelerator and nuclear detection.

The design and construction of the China Reprocessing and Radiochemical Laboratory is also underway, and the CIAE will strive to become a world-class nuclear science research center, Zhao added.

This year also marks the 105th anniversary of Albert Einstein's world-famous formula E=mc^2 for the Theory of Relativity, which was a ground-breaking theory for nuclear science.
