An official in Central China's Henan province has been suspended after sex video images of him were posted online by a woman who accused him of taking advantage of her, local authorities said Thursday.

An anonymous woman on Monday posted several sex video images of her and her lover in bed on the popular website: kdnet.net.

The woman said in the posting that the man was senior lawmaker Tian Hanwen of Ruyang county, and Tian had asked her out for sex many times after they got to know each other in 2006. He said he'd help her find a job in exchange for sex, but never fulfilled the promise, the woman said.

She said the sex video was shot by Tian.

The woman said she was not the only woman Tian had cheated in such a way over the years.

The posting has aroused great interest with more than 700,000 users viewing it so far.

Local disciplinary authorities have confirmed the images were of Tian Hanwen, a Party official with the Standing Committee of Ruyang People's Congress. Tian has been suspended from his post, the county committee of the Communist Party of China announced in a statement Thursday.

Disciplinary authorities are further investigating the case.
