A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has urged an ongoing discipline inspection to be detailed and comprehensive in order to promote an incorrupt work style among Party officials.

He Yong, deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, made the remarks Wednesday at a meeting on the implementation of various rules for CPC officials to maintain an irreproachable work style.

According to He, a nationwide campaign for Party officials to self-check their work behaviors in accordance with these rules was launched in July, and the commission is currently reviewing the results of the campaign.

He said the inspection is focused on issues such as the illegal use of government-funded housing properties, seeking private benefits through official procedures, luxury and waste in event organizing, the use of government vehicles and buying votes, among others.
