Liu Suye, 40, self-employed. She fell ill, leaving her two-year-old son in the care of others, but she never again found the strength to hold him after being discharged from the hospital. Her son once told people that his mother had never held him. Liu is suffering from two major SARS sequelae: Leg bone necrosis and pulmonary fibrosis. She is unable to breathe normally.[Photo/Sina.com]
