Tian Weidong(R)and Chen Jianyang (L) took a photo in front of the Zhejiang provincial high people's court in east China, after it reviewed their case in June 25, 2013.

Tian and Chen along with three other natives of Hangzhou's Xiaoshan district were sentenced to death or life in prison for the separate murders and robberies of two taxi drivers in 1995. The court acquitted them in July 2013, two years after new fingerprint evidence from one of the murder sites surfaced. The five, four of whom were in their early 20s at the time of the arrest, were wrongly jailed for 18 years. The group is reportedly working to bring the officers responsible for their wrongful imprisonment to justice. They claim the officers tortured them into confessing the killings.
