Temperatures in central and eastern China are expected to increase gradually in the coming three days as the strong cold front that swept the country in recent days has weakened.

The National Meteorological Center made the forecast on Sunday and said rain and snow are expected in regions in the south and northwest of the country in the coming three days.

Rain is forecast to hit southeastern Tibet, southeastern Sichuan Basin, central-western Guizhou, eastern Yunnan and Hainan, while northeastern Tibet and northwestern Xinjiang will see snow or sleet, with some areas expected to experience heavy snow, the center said.
