On August 18, 2011, planes were dramatically diverted away from a major Chinese airport after reports of a UFO circling a runway high above Jiangbei International Airport in Chongqing. Officials diverted several flights to other airports before it vanished about 50 minutes later and air traffic was resumed.

2011年8月18日,重庆江北国际机场降落航道上空据称出现不明飞行物,多航班被降异地。大约50分钟后,该物体才消失,机场航班才恢复正常。
