Lang Lang denies citizenship switch

Chinese pianist Lang Lang posts his passport to deny recent rumours of American citizenship on Thursday, November 20, 2008. [qq.com] 

World-renowned pianist Lang Lang denied the widespread rumour that he has taken American citizenship in his blog Thursday.

The young pianist also posted his Chinese passport, renewed just last month in New York.

Lang Lang said he was saddened by the rumour, adding he has consistently turned down offers of citizenship.

The prodigy said he has always been proud of his Chinese citizenship.
