1. Super Typhoon

Super Typhoon , directed by Feng Xiaoning, is a Chinese disaster movie. It is also a disaster of a Chinese movie. First of all, its special effects are distastefully primitive and feebly fail to look realistic. Absurdly, this "disaster" film also has a perfectly happy ending with no characters killed by the devastating typhoon it features. Worst of all, it is void of the human touch that brings a movie close to its audience. The director Feng Xiaoning boasted that his movie was better than Hollywood's Day After Tomorrow. Pitifully, it is this kind of blind overconfidence among Chinese movie makers that hinders the progress of Chinese cinema.
