Ancient royal ritual performed at Temple of Heaven

 Ritual performers wearing costumes of the royal court of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) perform in front of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests at the Tiantan (Temple of Heaven) Park in Beijing, capital of China, Jan. 26, 2009. The Temple of Heaven, first built in 1420 and used to be the imperial sacrificial altar during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing dynasties, was holding a reenaction of the ancient royal ritual for the worship of the heaven from Jan. 26, the first day of the Chinese lunar New Year, till Jan. 30.
