The publicist of Chinese actress Zhao Wei has denied reports she is about to take a break in her career to focus on her postgraduate studies.

In response to earlier reports that cited the actress as saying she would leave the silver screen to complete her studies, agent Chen Rong told Sina.com.cn that the media simply misinterpreted her words.

The agent failed to clarify exactly what Zhao Wei actually said, but confirmed the actress is in talks with several filmmakers for her next project.

Chen Rong refused to comment on another report suggesting the actress is getting married to an unidentified businessman in October, only saying that marriage "doesn't clash with her graduation or career."

Zhao Wei is studying film directing at the Beijing Film Academy. Previous reports suggested she is so busy with the film "Mulan" that her graduation has been delayed.
