As long as I am not persecuted by the Chinese gov. or the FBI, I just wish to express my opinion that the Bush administration is playing dirty politics trying to hurt the Chinese economy, now the world's largest, and its bid for the 2008 Olympics.

I think this is outrageous and provocative. It is time Americans should learn some lessons. And we should give them a lesson they will never forget!!

In fact, this crisis is not a matter about losing a jet plane and a pilot or demanding an apology, nor is a matter about US spy plane in the international water or not. It is a matter about Taiwan problem. Taiwan problem is the center issue between two countries. Whenever China is hard with US, you might probably find reason from this issue. Jiang Zemin is not so crazy to lose his head.

The main reason US spy plane was spying china is to collect military information for Taiwan. Taiwan govenment is asking US for advanced weapon. And those right wings in US congress are advocating protecting Taiwan and selling weapon to Taiwan. This is very irritating to China. USA has promised to China not to support Taiwan's independence and USA has kept this promise for over two decades. No this promise, no today's ties between two

countries. Those hardliner in Bush's administration are trying to shake this promise, and they seems like to withdraw this promise.

This really endanger the Us-Sino relationship, since the corner stone of the relationship is unstable. If war broke up between two countries, i am pretty sure Taiwan problem would be the only reason. China will not fight with USA no matter how US bully him as long as Taiwan is still belong to China. But if Taiwan were gone, then China would have no choice but attack Taiwan. Then USA would be get involved in Taiwan Crisis and the war between China and USA broke up. You american people must realize how sensitive the Taiwan problem is. That is the bottom line of Chinese goverment. Well, come back to this US-China standoff, the message from China to Bush is actually about Taiwan. Chinese leader seems childish in some american eyes this time, but message is very clear. This message is China has no compromise to do if it regrad to Taiwan.

If Bush interpret this message incorrectly, the outcome would be really disastrous. War benefit no one.

But Bush must play his card rightly. if he is still so self-centered, he will get more lessons. We all know USA almost went into war with Soviet Union in the regime of President Kennedy because Soviet Union were shipping his missile to Cuba. The Cuba Crisis ended up with peace since Soviet Union withdrew its missile. I think US goverment

should not forget his own history. Do not sell those advanced weapon to Taiwan and then peace can maintain, friendship can maintain.

I am an American. I thought our countries were at peace with one another and had good relations. I thought our country had trade plans with yours. I thought that there was talk to hold the Olympics in China in the future. How does China act the way it has been during the past week or so, and say it is ready to join the civilized world and welcome people from all over the world to its cities and country during the Olympics? No way! How can China expect trade from the American Army for its black and tan berets when it acts in a manner which is typical of someone at "war"? How can China expect the American people to want to buy their products when you are holding our citizens against their will in a hostage situation and not as "detainees"? The answer is....you can't expect us

in America or anywhere in the free world to see you as civilized at all when you behave the way you have.

No trade with China in my house...unless and until you free our citizens immediately.

My comment on America sending surveillance planes. So what? What did you expect? We're trying to make sure

our people are alright. That's all it is.

USA did the wrong thing to go into Chinese air with a Spy-plane with out asking if they could go in there or not.

My opinion is that USA (read) Bush he think he can demand other people or countrys to dance after his notes and I'm proud over that the Chinese goverment is standing against him.

And I hope and pray that the lost fighterpilot will be find,

Bernard from Ireland...My freedom comes from my relationship with Jesus Christ not the place I inhabit on this planet. Ireland certainly has its own problems and shouldn't be attempting at removing the sliver from it's neighbors eye while a plank is protruding from it's own. Freedom here is incredible! (USA) We were able to oust that "stinking" Clinton regime at the ballot box...can China or Ireland for that matter do the same. I don't beleive everything I'm told. I can access world media for insight...but with Christ living in me, I can separate the truth from the lie.

We should eliminate any form of spy. We should protect our own country. Asia is NOT a part of the US. No US spy should stay within the region.

If the US don't apologize AND compensate our loss, no crew and no plane should be returned.

If the US don't realize they have intruded into our Land, we should somewhat 'inform' them.

They do not respect our existence and we should force them all away.

And, I do support and agree China increase the military expenses to develop more hi-tech weapons, including warships and plane-fighters!

The death of Wang Wei is truely a tragedy. But let us not forget that every world power has spies and spy planes, including China. It is silly to think otherwise. That is just the way it is and the way it always will be.

By virtue of the fact that the US plane was flying over international waters, they commited no crime and should not be punished or detained for their actions.

As for who was at fault, Wei's F-8 had flown so close to American aircraft in recent months that he was photographed clearly. In one picture, he was seen holding a white paper with his e-mail address written on it. This leads me to believe the Chinese pilot caused the crash.

The US should be allowed to view the data in the plane's "black box" before formal conclusions are made, and if they find what I think they will, I think the Chinese will need to do the apologizing.
