Yes, the US should stop sending manned aircraft for intelligence purposes along the China sea coast. There are other, less intrusive methods to obtain the information they are seeking. Manned aircraft are too provocative and are not needed today.

First, I don't think it is important for us to return the US Plane by itself, first we must give a defination for this plane, which invades the territory and sovereignty of the PRC,furthermore collides our plane and makes our pilot lose life, badly disturbes Chinese regular life and fiercely hurts friendship and feeling of Sino-American people. So this US plane is the invader, the peacebreaker and enermy of China, of course We can't return it to the U.S. On the contrary, we should implead from World Court. Second, we needn't ask US to do anything, but we must proclaim that we must handle the sovereignty and territory of PRC, we will take any measures to keep this promise, so US government should know it is very dangerous if their spy planes on frequent reconnaissance flights close to China's coast.

Generally, we must proclaim our country is a country with whole sovereignty, without permission of invasion and provocation.

If Bush doesn't be polite to Chinese people, doesn't make compensation to Chinese pilot's family, doesn't get away from Chinese sea, let's set fire on that his machine rubbish. he has give us too much trouble, he talked too much nonsense, let our ears be comfortable, let Bush the madman go away!

When we studied the English language we learned also the US culture. They say "sorry" when they accidentally knock sb. on the street and say "thank you" when they get even tiny little helps from others.

I cannot see any excuse why US delay say "sorry" when they "knock" down China plane and its pilot, and no "thank you" when they get their 24 crews back.

I also cannot see any sense why China releases the 24 trouble-maker so soon -- when we caught thieves at sight, shall we release them first and hopelessly wait for their later explanations and apologize?

No, China should NOT return the US plane. The very fact the US expects it back is ridiculous, because it has not reciprocated the same behaviour when placed in the same position. In the mid-1960s, when a Russian spy plane landed on American soil and the USSR demanded its return, the US sent it back, but only after it had taken it apart to its satisfaction. It ultimately was returned, but was returned in boxes.

Yes, the US should stop sending spy planes on frequent reconnaissance flights. The US should realize that China is no threat to the United States. It does not view the US as an enemy, but an economic ally. This aspect is the most important, when one considers the how heavily economics play into present Chinese politics.

No,certainly not.

The US must stop any recommaissance activities at once.

The Chinese government should take a strong posture, I think.

If Us agree stopping sending spy planes on frequent reconnaissance flights close to China's coast, we may return the Us surveillance plane. but first we can inspect the plane.

Aline Lohmann Chikude, alinekendi@hotmail.com
China should NEVER return the airplane, because everybody knows, USA had violated China territory (could someone imagine USA reaction against a foreigner airplane flying over their territory?!).

Also, this kind of "surveillance flight" (spy flight)is imoral and no country should accept this kind of "power exhibition" from USA, although they think that they are the owner of the world.

I hope that the Chinese Government be firm and strong as the chinese people demands.

No, China should not return the US spy jet.

At first, US must stop sending spy planes on flights close to China's coast immediately. About the return, US must make an apology to our greater flighter WANGWEI and chinese people, and compensate all the losing. Then we can discuss the matter with US.
