Chinese Finance Minister and  Chair of the Eighth APEC Finance Ministers Meeting Xiang Huaicheng held a working breakfast with Horst Koehler, managing director and chairman of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Saturday morning.
Xiang briefed about the economic growth in China. He said  despite the negative impact of world economic situation, China is  expected to sustain an economic growth of 7-7.5 percent this year.
Koehler said that in face of the slowdown of world economic  growth, China served as a stabilizing force for the regional and  world economy by maintaining a steady economic growth.
The two sides also exchanged views on such issues as the  relations between international financial institutions and non- government organizations.
