New Substance Found to Curb AIDs Virus

Researchers headed by professor Yi Yanghua in Second Military Medical University recently extracted a certain chemical substance from a natural medicine, which has been proved by an American medical research center to effect a remarkable inhibition on AIDs virus.

Experiment shows that the substance has great killing effects on AIDs virus under very low density and has very little toxicity. So far, researchers are applying for national patent for the achievement.

According to Yi Yanghua, resource of this medicine is very abundant and they are doing researches with their American counterparts on pharmacological effects of the medicine in anticipation to develop it into a new anti-AIDs drug.
